Protect flooring, fixtures, and furnishings with drop sheets
Fill cracks and holes in surfaces to be painted with sparkling, wood filler or caulk
Remove outlet covers and light switch covers before painting, and re-install after painting
Prime over stains
Where necessary, apply an undercoat followed by one to two coats of interior finish paint.
Clean up job site and remove all rubbish.
